Yet another lazy cold rainy day in San Francisco

No worries, I’m prepared!

The “severe storm” we experienced last Friday is still top news. The funny thing is, a “severe” storm like that would have been nothing to us on the East Coast. We call them storms, regular ol' storms. But I forget that this part of the world rarely experiences “bad” weather, much like when I lived in London and the whole city was in a panic because there was a thin layer of ice on everything. I woke up to this radio announcement, “Don’t panic, use a credit card to scrap the ice off your windshield!”

Oh people with their weather, never cease to be funny.

Perhaps you can show the people of San Fran this:

I don't think this article mentions the apartment complex that had the roof torn off of it due to the wind.
My favorite quote: "Winds this morning lifted an aluminum shed from the backyard of Mary Cymbalisty’s Baird Street home and carried it about 10 feet, over a fence, to her neighbor’s yard. 'I wish the wind would blow it back where it belongs,' said Cymbalisty, 85, of Rochester."

Love the wellies! It was almost 70 degrees here yesterday, how's that for weird weather? Boston in January is like a tropical island.

N: weather talk is hilarious.
A: I can never tell faux burberry from the real - so good deal! And thanks for the b-day wish!
F: that's nuts... I just read on CNN the part about the aircraft. Yikes! If only the wind could blow back where it belongs... wherever that is.
S: so I hear, crazy! I had to walk 1 mile to an appointment in the chilly chilly rain, and I forgot to put on my new boots because I was in a hurry. AND my umbrella kept blowing inside out. Hope you had a nice cocktail by the beach for me!

Like the boots. I'd better call my Aunty back in Ra-cha-cha to see if her roof is still in tact!
