NaBloPoMo Day 15: Lives Per Gallon

Truth be told, despite the sickening feeling I get in my gut when I think or read about it, I wanted to see it. By the time word got out about how serious the spill really was, oil had moved out of the bay to further stain the shoreline. Despite the brightly colored “caution” signs, we climbed over to explore and poke through the clumps of oil coated rocks and sea life. Sad doesn’t even begin to describe it. Naturally, I took some photos… and I was taken aback by the eerie beauty of it all:

So terrible.

That is awful, and you got some really great shots of it.
