NaBloPoMo Day 20: Where I Neglect To Admit That I Have Christmas Spirit, Already
Let me tell you about my weekend...
- First and foremost, the weekend was pretty low key. I was still getting over a cold that started the week prior, and M was only starting to get over a monster of a cold that he most definitely did not get from me because we only hold hands with rubber gloves. Friday evening was spent at home where lots of Taquitos and ice cream had been consumed.
- Saturday: feeling a little better, M and I spent some time at the Westfield Mall. I hate shopping, but the weather was on the crappy side and I just wanted to walk around, somewhere. And walk we did. We had a surprisingly good time and ate delicious Thai food.
- I saw a sign on a bus which I guessed was a PSA (Public Service Announcement) for BAD MILK. There were words about expirations, words about getting to the doctor within 48 hours and a big picture of an expired milk carton. I don’t know, is bad milk disease a growing problem? Perhaps a PSA on "lack of common sense" was a little too general?
- We stopped off for Irish coffee at the Gold Dust (same place I was at a few nights before, sans crippling stomach ache). I love being able to take a break from shopping to sit in a cozy pub-like atmosphere and sip a nice hot alcoholic beverage. Irish coffee at the Gold Dust is awesome, I believe they’ve been rated number one in this city – and only $3 a pop! You’d be crazy not to drink 3 in one sitting (which is exactly what we did).
- With a nice warm, fuzzy feeling in our tummies, I bought my California winter coat at the "dangerous" Old Navy on 4th and Market. It was "take 30% off, and if it's still over $50, we'll take another $10 off for you" day. See? Dangerous! M said the green looked the best on me, but I'm not sure. I think it was his way of hinting that I dress like a bruise too much (black, dark blue, brown and gray). I don't know, you all have good taste - what do you think?

Gazing toward the heavens,
"to green or not to green?" she asks.
- Saturday evening was spent with friends, beer and Starship Troopers. WORST MOVIE EVER!
- Sunday: a nice day to sleep in and eat my new favorite meal, “Huevos Rancheros con Coke de Mexico.” This "place" (I can never remember the name of it despite eating there 1-2 times a week) around the corner from my Mission residence has the best in the city (in my opinion), complete with guacamole and rice. Delicious!
- Later that afternoon, a few of us gathered at a bar to watch the Bills lose to the Patriots (I really hate football).
And there you go. Oh, and Dutch is really big now! As a matter of fact, he looks more like a mini full-sized Corgi than a puppy. If want a good laugh, read Mindy’s blog about Dutch and their new robot friend. And if you can, please leave her a comment so she's inspired to write more about her awesome life!

Until tomorrow, kiddos!

Love the green! Almost got it, too, but decided I need to start dressing like a fading bruise (light greys, light browns and yellows) to hide the Dutch hairs.

Irish Coffee at the Buena Vista -- touristy but still worth it!

Also, Chris and I have been watching Mr. Meaty and it is SO MUCH WEIRDER than we even originally thought. I love it.
