This town was made for walking

Saturday was beautiful, and once the clouds and fog parted, yesterday was pretty darn nice too. I headed outside for a short walk around the neighborhood with the sole intention of listening to the new Radiohead (freshly downloaded, and oh so reasonably priced). Next thing I know, I'm walking north on 5th, plowing through the tourists at Union Square, climbing up Powel faster than a cable car, then strolling through North Beach only to realize, hey, I could really go for a vanilla milkshake. I continued toward Fisherman’s Wharf, where I grab an In N Out shake and fries then continued down along the Embarcadero. 6.25 miles and about 3 laps of Radiohead later, I'm home.

I’m like Forest Gump out here with the walking; once I start, I can't stop. I don’t want to stop.

Typical San Francisco: clear skies on this side of the city...

not so clear skies on this side
(where a rather large bridge appears to be missing)

It looks so pretty! Makes me want to go for a walk right now. Do you think they'd mind if I skipped out of work?

for a walk? i'm sure the kids will understand!
