NaBloPoMo 2007

I was supposed to see Broken Social Scene last night but I found out it wasn’t a real Broken Social Scene show - so I ended up staying in to help grade papers. Grade papers all while drinking Heineken and listening to the Jesus and Mary Chain on vinyl - my new idea of a lo-key evening. Darn kids think Fresno is closer to the ocean than San Jose or Oakland. Look at the bloody map, kids! Yeah, the one right above the question.
I could never be a teacher.
Speaking of interesting ways to spend time, I signed up for NaBloPoMo a few weeks ago. Starting November 1st (this Thursday) I will be posting to this site, everyday, until the end of the month. Why yes, I did do this very thing last year. And while I managed to successfully complete the task last year without fail, this year might be a little tough being that my life is far more awesome than a year ago. It’s hard to make the time to touch a computer with all the awesomeness around me. But I’ll give it a try.
Potential topic ideas:
- What Drug Did I See Someone injecting/inhaling/smoking In Public Today
- Interesting Things Homeless Men Say To Me
- Inappropriate Items Wrapped Around Other Inappropriate Items Found On A Sidewalk In The Mission
- San Francisco Rules Because...
- Wait, Is This Your Shoe I Found On The Corner Of __ And ___
All I ask is that you continue to read, and maybe comment every so often and I promise to post stuff that will motivate, make you smile or spit out your (insert beverage of choice). I kind of enjoy when I can get people do that.
And with that being said… Happy Halloween! See you on Thursday (AKA Day 1) if not sooner. I look forward to your feedback.
Oh, and a gentle reminder: I’m on the west coast, so my deadline will be 11:59 PM pacific time.

I am so gearing myself up for like, no comments on the weekends. There's no way it can be as good as last year, but yeah, you gotta try!

My favorite Mission sidewalk find: a metal safe, discarded because someone pried it open with a crow bar.
Least favorite Mission sidewalk moment: When my flip flops broke on Valencia and 20th, forcing me to walk 9 blocks home BAREFOOT. You've seen what's on those streets. Join me in my horror.
(Found you at Bay Area Bloggers on Nablopomo. Hi!)

I'll bite...
-Heroin.
-I bet at least one of them has called you "Red."
-Yeah, no clue.
You know you are on your way to becoming a local when you call it "The Mission" instead of "the Mission district in San Francisco."

R: i'm glad that i can count on your support!
N: yeah, we'll see what happens. no expectations.
S: i'm going to listen to my ipod at a lower volume just for this blog! They is crazy!
Moose: Cool, another Bay-area Blogger! I got ya bookmarked now! I dropped my sweater on South Van Ness the other day and my friends were like, "leave it! It's not worth it!" I hope you got yourself checked out for "chlamydia of the foot" after that.
Me: I'm quickly acclimating. Surprisingly, no man without a home has referred to me as "red" yet. Whore, yes. Red, no.
