A weekend, finally, and in pictures!
This past weekend was my first weekend (in weeks) to have fallen on a weekend. Make sense? I guess what I’m trying to say is... I spent most of this past weekend: not at a job (well, just 4 hours at one) and not on the computer (unless I had to be on it). In summary, I had a weekend – a fun weekend – and I took a bunch of pictures.
Dad and I (accompanied by younger Sister Emily) voyaged over to the Seneca Lake wine trail in the trusty (seal clubbing) Avalanche, for wine tasting on Friday afternoon (otherwise known as: "let's take advantage of Kir's discount!") We visited 7 or 8 (I lost count, but I know we went here, and here, and here...) – and purchased nearly 2 cases between the two of us. Attention Verizon and Allstate, you'll just have to wait an extra week for payment this month.

A productive trip. Why yes, that is a blush
in my left hand... wanna fight?
It cooled off enough Friday evening to hang outside. Here I am, "hanging" out in the yard:

ahhhhhh...
Bergan J. loves laying in the hammock, but ever since the hammock incident, he'll only jump on while another person is already swinging. Notice that I refrained from adding the word "hilarious" to the hammock incident – my attempt to be conscious of one chunky kitty's feelings (not that I should care about Berg’s feelings - he’s always trying to trip me on the stairs/smother me in my sleep).

Berg: he holds so much anger
I woke up Saturday morning with a grasshopper on my pillow and I tried to pick him up to bring him outside, but he refused. I think he was sick/waiting to die - so I let him be. After a suicidal woodchuck, a manically depressed bird, 1 billion bugs, and a terminally ill grasshopper… I think it's safe to say that my 2007 Summer Creature Fatality list is growing.

Dead, but not forgotten
(and presently decomposing on my window pane)
There’s a Pizmo in the kitchen!

I love Pizmo!
(despite his inability to control his bowels)
My good gal pals, Olivia and Amanda, were married on Sunday at the Belhurst castle in Geneva, NY. The ceremony was beautiful (oh the tears!) and the reception was a blast and a half (everyone was on the dance floor, the drink was a-flowing, and various inebriated family members were unintentionally smashing glassware all while knocking over indoor foliage... now that is a wedding)!
* I'm so proud of Olivia and Amanda. They're above and beyond inspirational (and inspiration is a word that I never use lightly) *

Mmmmm cheesecake
(yes Rochester folks, made by Cheesy Eddies!)

Screw Verizon. Beautiful wedding pictures. Congratulations.
But I don't like cheesecake.

Now that I know you can have cheesecake at a wedding, I'm rethinking my "I'm never having a wedding" rule. I would freak out if I found a grasshopper, or any living creature that isn't my cat, on my pillow.

Great post! Mmm... I miss green lushishness like your yard. Congrats Olivia and Manda! I guess I'm now officially out of the Rochester loop. I had no idea they tying it up. C'est la vie. Mmmm... cheesecake indeed.

P: you don't like cheesecake!?!?!?!
N: as long as the living creature is not slimey (worm, slug, fish, octopus) - i'm cool with it hanging out on my bed. happens a lot around here.
J: well, since they both live in philly and i live in ontario county... no worries on being out of the "non-exsistent" rochester loop :)

That first picture looks like a wine-induced smile if I ever saw one. :)
O & A's wedding looks lovely- and they look beautiful in their dresses!

yo kir! thanks for taking so many awesome pictures of the wedding! looking at these have helped to tide me over during the long wait for our "professional" photos by our friend matt. he's having computer trouble or something. but we're trying to decide where to post the photos once we have them... we think we'll go with something like flickr where people can buy photos if they like. have you ever ordered prints, or known others who have, from flickr and the like? we're just trying to figure out which site has the best print quality for a reasonable price per photo. if you have any recommendations i'd love to hear!

O: I've actually never ordered prints from flickr before... because it was always easy to have them printed at a local drugstore for same day pick up. Considering your guests were from all over the place, flickr will probably be your best bet (and their prices are pretty reasonable).
