Wet and tired

I had Sunday off from my various jobs and thought it would be a good time to give the trusty Honda a serious cleaning. It’s been 5 or 6 years since I’ve washed/detailed my own car (thanks to a lack of hose/space while living in the city). Now that I have access to the required materials, and only after throwing a new battery and an oil change into the car last week... doing it myself seemed like a good way to save a few bucks.
Within a 3 hour period (3 hours!) I dusted, washed all windows, armor all-ed EVERYTHING, goo gone-d old remnants of past inspection stickers and parking passes, WD-40 ed door hinges, washed exterior, rinsed about 7 years of road salt and “I lost count” cups of coffee off the mats, vacuumed up all dirt and sand (sand?), tossed out a dozen ATM bank receipts & Mojo bar wrappers, and touched up chipped paint all while managing to smack my head on the door frame, chip every nail on my right hand, scratch both arms, and soak my pants with the hose (darn wind kept blowing the water toward me!)
And that darn cat Trouser wouldn’t leave me alone the whole time.
Car detailing and surgery, 2 of the few things in life best left for the pros.

I sustained some serious injuries last time I cleaned my car as well. Actually, I sustain them just getting in and out of the car. I hope you at least have some warm fuzzies about your nice clean car!

You look very proud and victorious.

Justin would be so proud of you. Home boy takes impeccable care of his truck, and may be able to recommend "all the right products" if you ask.
My Subaru is in dire need of a scrub, inside and out. Leaf dust, prairie dust, highway dust, 4-wheel drive Fire Road 7 dust. They mean it literally in CO when they say, "Eat my dust." (wink)
How long do you hope all that glimmer and shine and squeaky clean will last?
