Song memory
I always get the Janet Jackson song, “When I Think of You” in my head when I do my laundry. The sound of my jean’s zipper hitting the drum of the washer is the exact same note as the first one in that song.
“Loving You” by Minnie Riperton comes to mind anytime I hang up the phone at one of my many jobs. It makes this beeping noise at the same pitch as the “la la la la la….”
This morning I discovered why Fleetwood Mac’s “Tusk” gets into my head whenever I’m in the kitchen. The cabinet door to the garbage can sounds like one of the drums.
Does this happen to anyone else?
Comments
Nope, just you.

It may happen, and I haven't noticed why it does. Something to think about, because in the morning, I'll often awake with the same song in my head. Sometimes, I get words or phrases stuck in my head as well. That always struck me as odd.

I hear all sorts of songs when I'm using the hairdryer. Usually it's U2 but the other day it was Kenny Loggins. I don't know what this says about us!

YES, YES, YES!!! It happens to me all the time...
When I dial my voicemail from my cell phone, I always think of "Do your ears hang low..."
My old microwave reminded me of a song as well, but it's a really embarrassing song, so I'll spare you!
