Kirsten-1, Somerville Metermaid-0

With an I'll deal with it later pile about to tipp... I finally sent a letter to my Somerville Metermaid pen pal a month and a half ago, informing him/her that I WILL NOT be paying the now $55 parking ticket he/she issued me unless they can clearly define Guest Abuse, and how I am at fault.


I received the following letter last week:



"The office of the parking clerk has reviewed our request for dismissal for the ticket(s) listed below. We believe that the above violation was issued in accordance with the city of Somerville Traffic and Parking department rules and regulations."


Um, what? (Continues reading...)


"The office recognizes your complaint and has administratively dismissed the above violations(s). However any other similar issued violations will not be dismissed."


Phew. In other words, “you’re right, we’re wrong… assorted greeting cards, flower arrangements and presents to follow.”


Yes. It feels good to know that I still got it.

Wow, those never work for me. Including the time that I picked up a rental car for work and someone else got caught going through a red light by a camera cop. That sucked.

N: i nervously dropped the letter into the mail thinking, " if this doesn't work, i'm going to be arrested for being a total bitch." worth the risk!
