quiz this
I've noticed that these "quizzes" have been spreading around the NaBloPoMo like a made-up malady. I cannot think of a more time consuming way to find out useless and irrelevant info about ourselves.
OK, I can - but it is not as much fun. Cannot-stop-clicking-on-the-radial-buttons-because-I-want-to-click-all-day-long.

What did you get on the rockin out one? I got 95%, it would be funny if I beat you.

I got like a 15% - those questions were hard!

A couple were and I used process of elimination, the rest weren't too bad. My cat is being insane, he has to be right nest to me or I have to carry him around with me.

Woo-hoo! I got 96% on the rock-out quiz! But I think I just dropped my score 10% by using the phrase "woo-hoo".

E: huh? have you slept yet, you are not making any sense.
K: don't be so hard on yourself, I'd say only 8%. ;)

No I haven't,

I am, shockingly, 35% New Jersey. I really don't know if I can accept that. 10%, 15%, sure, but 35?
I'm also 72% Southerner, which I find less troubling, since I'm actually from the South.
I have a Midland accent (that is, no accent).

G: It just goes to show how that particular quiz was clearly written by a very “nationally focused” (I cannot think of a better word for that at the moment - darn glass of pre-dinner wine) American. Dialect aside, we all have an accent... an “American accent” Although a midland would not be apparent here in this country, it certainly would be in other English speaking countries. You speak Midland American - be proud!
(and you know that I know that you know that).
OK, I think I just over thought this.

Ooh, I saw the grammar quiz and decided I should take it. I am very happy to report that I got a 100%! If I got any less, I would have to trade in my red pen for a paper hat. Piece out! ;-)

N: seriously, this month is turning into a newfangled origin of species.

Speaking of accents...you may have already seen it, but the NY Times had a piece earlier this year about the Rochester accent. As a transplanted downstater, the writer's wonder at upstate-speak is much appreciated.

Oh sweeeet. I just got a 100% on the grammar. That just made this librarian's day. :)
