Dear Accidental Flickr User
Call me a square, but I think that it would be more appropriate to set your photos of the open casket funeral you attended to private.

Who would take pictures at a funeral anyways, especially pictures of the body? That is so disrespectful.

i have no idea. i could understand if it were a "themed" funeral, you know... like star trek. "Beam him up, Scotty."

There was a post in the Canon DSLR User Group forum about someone getting _hired_ to photograph a funeral. He was concerned that this was a growing trend. That, and photog'ing a funeral generally creeped him out.

I worked in photo labs for five years, and I did see a surprisingly large number of funeral pictures. The thought of capturing the moment at a funeral had never crossed my mind before. Creepy and weird.

Well, younguns, photographing corpses is not a recent trend. Actually, it used to be the norm. Back in the day, it was hard for people to travel to funerals (no Jet Bue), and funerals happened pretty quickly. We never waited more than 3 days to bury someone where I grew up. So taking pictures helped people to "say good bye" and have some closure.
